New bike & 6" of snow
Just traded in the 1150R that carried us across the country in 2006.
The new steed is a 2007 1200GS.

Looking out the window at 6" of snow (this early in December??) and at the calendar.
4 full months of anxiety to deal with before I can get out on the new ride.

There are far too many accessories available for the GS. My credit card will take a beating before I put the first kilometer on the thing!

I, too, am looking out on close to 1-1/2 feet of snow outside Boston. Having enjoyed your travel report, I thought perhaps you could advise my son and me on our trip this next summer. We will go to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks and then want to head home to Boston via the area north of the Canadian border. What would recommend in terms of routes back east? While not wanting to delay our return, we also hope there are some interesting roads on the way back rather than just a major highway. Any guidance you can provide would be helpful.

P.S. My son and I have done extensive riding in the Maritimes including across Newfoundland.
